At Kultur Aktiv you have the possibility to do a 12-month "Bundesfreiwilligendienst" in the field of culture. The service begins in August or September of each year. You can expect a relaxed working atmosphere in a nice team. You will be able to apply your own knowledge to the organisation of projects, gain new experience and make local and international contacts in the industry. Furthermore, we are happy to support you in testing your own creative potential and contributing your own ideas.
areas of use
Culture and project management, collaboration with the photo gallery "Galerie nEUROPA", office organisation, public relations (English and other foreign languages also in demand here) or in the area of graphic layout and web design. We also offer further training in the areas of socio-culture, project management, administration and dealing with social media.
Under current calls for applications we always announce vacancies and application modalities in good time. Unsolicited applications outside the application deadlines can unfortunately not be considered.
European Voluntary Service (EVS)
Since 2007, one to three volunteers per year have been involved in a European Voluntary Service at Kultur Aktiv. As a host organisation, we have worked with sending organisations and selected project partners active in the fields of cultural and youth work in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and the Balkans. Our international volunteers also support us in local and international projects, especially in their home countries. They are also encouraged to develop and implement their own project ideas.
EVS is open to young people between 18 and 30 years of age. A twelve-month placement as a European volunteer usually begins in October. The areas of employment and further training offered are the same as those of the volunteers from the BFD programme. Further information can be found in our current calls for proposals or on the pages of the European Commission.
Internships and Hospitations
Within the framework of projects, Kultur Aktiv occasionally offers the opportunity to become active for a limited period of time. During an internship, knowledge acquired during your studies can be put to the practical test. A guest student in the association can give cultural managers from other organisations new experiences and impulses and allow them to flow into the practical work. For the second time, Kultur Aktiv is hosting a Greek fellow of the Robert Bosch Stiftung's START - Create Cultural Change program. At the same time, employees of Kultur Aktiv themselves also take the opportunity to sit in with partner organizations abroad.
Vacancies for internships will be announced under calls. Unfortunately, initial applications cannot usually be considered. In order to save unnecessary effort, please contact us in advance by phone.
